Sunday, July 26 Update:

We are happy to announce that we will begin meeting at The Atrium on Sunday, August 2nd. The Atrium is a beautiful downtown event space at 22 N. Tenth Street.

The Atrium provides a large, open space for social distancing. Please continue to wear a mask while worshipping with us. We will provide hand sanitizer at the entrances, children will have their temperature taken with a touch-less thermometer, and chairs are spread out six feet from each other by units (2, 4, and 6-seat units).

These services will also be available live online at our Facebook page.

Children are welcome in our regular worship gathering. We hope to reopen Trinity Kids classes at the Atrium on Sunday, August 30th.

But don’t worry, it will still be worshipful, fun, and full of the Holy Spirit.

Here is a ten-minute message from Pastors Casey and Jeremy.

Tuesday, March 17 Update:

We will be posting information about our Sunday gatherings, community groups, prayer nights, and other gatherings this evening or early tomorrow. Until then…

We launched a daily teaching video series called “The Trinity Daily: Practicing the Way of Jesus in Strange Times.”

Each episode will be 10-12 minutes of teaching, an interview, or Trinity-related news. We hope it encourages and equips you daily. The first episode is a mediation on Psalm 16. Each episode will be posted here, as well as on our social media pages. A podcast will be available by end of week. Enjoy!

Friday, March 13 Update:

This Sunday, we will gather in our four community groups at 10am for worship and prayer services, rather than all together at CIS

We will provide a playlist of worship songs for us to sing together, a full liturgy to participate in together, a story time and activity for the children, a time for group prayer, and a message from Casey and me on Acts 4, the Coronavirus, and the practicing Way of Jesus together in difficult times.

Although the city and state have not banned gatherings of our size, we think this is the wisest response to concerns of the spreading Coronavirus. Several churches in town are (at this point) planning to still gather, and we respect that decision.

But Trinity basically exists for this moment! We aren’t a church with community groups; we are a church of community groups. We love gathering on Sundays for worship and teaching and communion, but we are unfazed by Sunday gatherings in four less-formal gatherings. We met in a living room for a whole year for goodness sakes. :)

Of course, if you have any symptoms of illness, including a fever, cough, or runny nose, or if you have a weakened immune system, or if for any other reason you think it would be unwise for you to attend one of the groups, please feel free to stay home! We will provide all these resources online so that you can worship at home alone or with your family. All our resources will be uploaded by Sunday morning.

Without any known cases of the virus in Boone County and with Columbia Public Schools in session on Monday, we think this is a great opportunity for us to “make like the early church” and gather in homes. The virus may not even become a major threat to our congregation and our community, but Casey put it well: Gathering in this way on Sunday is a way of identifying with churches around the world who are having to cancel their worship services and care for many sick members. We are one in Christ, and when any single church is suffering, we all suffer together. These smaller gatherings on Sunday will allow us even more time to pray for those most affected by the virus.

So plan to join us with your community group on Sunday at 10am, and if you’re not in a group, you’re welcome to attend one closest to you (see below for addresses). If you’re not a regular attendee of Trinity, you’re still 100% welcome to worship with us in our homes this Sunday. It may actually be the best possible introduction to the wonderful things God is doing at Trinity!

Oh, and to sweeten the deal, a supply of Harold’s donuts and Camacho coffee will be provided at each group on Sunday!
