Renewal Fund
In November 2023, we announced the creation of the Renewal Fund. This fund serves as a savings account for our future as a church, including designations for a long-term church facility, world missions, and local mercy ministry. Keep reading to learn more, and find ways to give below!
As we’ve grown as a church, we see the need to be prayerful and intentional with our funds and future plans. We sense that we will likely need a more permanent facility before focusing on church planting—although that’s in our long-term plans. In this season, we want to offer an opportunity to give above your regular tithes to build a financial reserve for our future needs.
We don’t anticipate leaving CFS any time soon; in fact, we are in the first year of a new three-year lease. We’ve also secured the Prayer Room as a ministry base for our prayer gatherings and staff offices. But we were also presented with an interesting church facility opportunity in October 2024. Over the last few weeks, we have been slowly and prayerfully pursuing this opportunity.
Although we are in a great position with our savings, we will likely need additional funds in the next few months for a down payment if we sign a contract on the building. We encourage you to prayerfully consider giving to our Renewal Fund through the end of December to make this a possibility! We will keep you informed as things develop.
Of course, if we do not get this particular church facility, we are still in a position of strength with our leases at CFS and the Prayer Room. Any funds given to the Renewal Fund will remain in savings until the Lord provides the right building. (December is also our annual missions month, so 20 percent of the first $100,000 given in December will go to global missions and local ministries.)
Our Renewal Fund includes a minimum of ten percent funding to establish Restore 573, a nonprofit mercy ministry, as well as a global church planting ministry. We anticipate formally starting these two ministries in the next four years—by our tenth anniversary in 2028.
In all this, we keep saying: we’re not a strategy-led church, we’re a prayer-led church.
In prayer, we believe God has put in our hearts the desire to reach people locally, plant churches around Central Missouri, meet the practical needs of our community, and equip church planters and missionaries to go out across the country and to the nations. This Renewal Fund is a great next step in seeing all this happen.
